Sorority Forever
I recently started watching a show called "Sorority Forever", which is about 4 girls that enter into a very powerful sorority called Phi Chi Kappa.
The show can be found on myspace.
com/sororityforever or thewb.
com It's only aired online and each episode is 3-4 minutes long.
But it's a show that revolves around a sorority, secrets, lies, deception, possible murder and so much more.
I was hooked after the first couple episodes.
I wish the episodes were longer.
In the first episode it opens with the subtitle, "six months ago", and a blonde haired girl holding onto a necklace that's around her neck.
She tells her sister that 'what was once mine, is now yours.
Wear it everyday with pride" as she takes off her necklace.
The necklace is a locket she got while she was in Phi Chi Kappa.
She fastens the necklace around her sister's neck, even though she protests saying that she doesn't need it, because she isn't rushing.
Meaning that she isn't going to become a part of any sorority in college.
But her sister, Natalie, tells her "You have no choice, because pledging Phi Chi Kappa sis will change your life forever".
We learn after a couple minutes that Natalie's sister is named Julie.
Basically what is happening here is that Julie, played by Jessica Rose aka lonelygirl15, is being forced into joining a sorority that she wants no part of.
Many people watching the show might question why the sorority is so important.
I know I did.
The next scene opens with the word, "TODAY" and a group of girls sitting in a room.
There are the words, Sorority Bid Day in huge letters on a flag type setting behind a girl who is about to speak to the group.
There is theme music playing as the group stands.
After awhile, Julie and 3 other girls: Madison, Taryn and another girl open their envelopes and find out they are chosen as pledges for the Phi Chi Kappa sorority.
Next thing you know they are running down the street past frat houses while onlookers are throwing fruits at them.
Madison, Taryn, and Naomi are ecstatic about being picked, but Julie is less than thrilled.
Fast forward a couple episodes, Julie and her other sisters befriend some guys at a college party.
Julie becomes interested in this guy named Joaquin, who she learns has a few secrets.
In the sorority house a couple of the girls discover that sorority leader, Bridget is keeping secrets about the sorority's past.
Madison discovers a door in the back of the sorority leader's closet when she was looking for clothes to borrow.
She also came upon some Greek writing on the closet wall that she doesn't understand.
Madison tells the other sisters and Julie checks it out.
Actually she opens the door and then closes it.
Why? Was she afraid of getting caught, or more afraid of finding out what's behind the door? Julie also discovers a locked red door in the basement, and wants to know what's in the room.
I don't want to give too much away, because there's just so much going on on the show.
My opinion is that the show is intriguing at times, but wish it was longer, like an hour or something.
The weeklong wait for the next episode is almost too much for me to take.
All in all, if I had to give it a rating of one to five stars, I'd give it a 3 1/2.
