Walk Of Faith: Knowing That God Is Not Angry With Us
There are many Christians who are thinking that God is angry at them because of what they have done; they think that their prayers will not get answered because of it.
They have condemned themselves but the truth is; God is not angry at any of us.
God is love and He loves us all the same in spite of what we have done.
Yes He might be displeased by our actions but that does not mean that He is angry.
He is still for us and He is willing and ready to help us.
Isaiah 54:8 read with a little wrath I hid my face from you for a moment but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you says the Lord, your redeemer.
Jesus is our redeemer and because of the finish work that He has done for us; we have peace with God so His anger against us has been removed forever.
Verses 9-10 of Isaiah 54 read for this is like the waters of Noah to me, for I have sworn that the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you nor rebuke you.
For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed but my kindness shall not depart from you nor my covenant of peace be removed says the Lord who has mercy on you.
The word of God is settled in heaven and on earth so if He says that He will not be angry with us than that is what He means.
You may be thinking about all the trouble that has come upon you and you might be thinking that it is happening to you because of your sin and God is punishing you.
Do not be deceived, it is not God who is doing the punishing, it is the devil and he wants you to think that God is doing it.
Jesus said that we would have tribulation in the world but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.
What does that mean? It mean that we will have problems but the Lord will deliver us out of all of it however, if we are condemning ourselves and thinking that He is angry with us then He cannot help us.
When we think like that we are actually saying that our disobedience is greater than His grace.
So what should we do? We should change that way that we are thinking.
We need to recall to our mind what the shed blood of Jesus has purchased for us.
The stripes upon His back were for our healing, the crown of throngs upon His head was the curse that He took for us so that we could be blessed.
His nail pierced hand was for our abundance so there should be no lack in our life.
The blood that was poured from His feet has given up authority and dominion over all the work of the devil.
Colossians 2:15 read having disarmed principalities and powers; He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Jesus took away all of the power that Satan had so he has no right to raise havoc in your life but he might be doing it under the cover of deception by having you think that it is God who is punishing you for your sins.
I encourage you to take your rightful place in the Lord by first realizing that He is not angry with you, then take authority over the work of the devil and cast him out; resist him and he will flee from you.
The answer to every problem that we might face can be found in the word of God but if we do not know what the word say, it cannot help us so it would behoove us to find scriptures that pertains to our situation; study it, believe it and speak it out of our mouth.
Stay focus on what the word say even if we do not see results immediately because there will be a manifestation of the promise of the Lord.
