How to Reset Your Cogeco Cable Modem
- 1). Press the "Reset" switch on the back panel of your Cogeco cable modem and then release it if you want to perform a basic reset. The cable modem will go into initialization mode. Its lights will flash as it connects to the Internet cable service and configures itself, after which the lights will stop flashing. At this point, if you still do not have Internet service, you can try doing a factory default reset.
- 2). Disconnect the Cogeco cable modem's power cable from the outlet if you want to do a factory default reset.
- 3). Press the "Reset" switch and hold it while plugging the power cable back into the AC outlet. Continue to hold the "Reset" switch for about six seconds, until all the lights on the modem come on. This resets the modem to factory default settings.
