About Clémence Poésy:

Born November 30, 1982 in Meudon, Hauts-de-Seine, France, Clémence Guichard, Poésy took her mother's maiden name as her stage name. She had first acting job when she was 14; cast by her father, theater director Étienne Guichard, she had two lines. She has a younger sister Maëlle who is also an actress.

English Speaking Roles:

Clémence Poésy's first English-speaking role was in the BBC mini-series Gunpowder, Treason & Plot where she played Mary I of Scotland.

She next played Fleur Delacour in the blockbuster film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Poésy also appears in In Bruges, the directorial debut of Irish playwright Martin McDonagh. The film will open the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.

French Films:

Poésy has also appeared in numerous films in her native France, including Bienvenue chez les Rozes , Le Grand Meaulnes, Sans moi and the upcoming La Troisième partie du monde starring opposite French film star Gaspard Ulliel.
