• A direct form of training comes from Microsoft itself, with online tutorials available for purchase on its Office website. You can find additional training in published books, such as "Microsoft Office 2007: Advanced Concepts and Techniques" (see References section).
  
  

Benefits

• After sufficient training, an Office user may be ready for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification. This Microsoft-endorsed certification validates proficiency in using Office and can enhance an individual's skill set for career advancement. Exams include those verifying specialist, expert and master levels of expertise.
  
  

Considerations

• As of September 2010, training materials cover Office 2007 and 2010. When choosing a training course, opt for one that covers the version of Office you plan to use on a regular basis.
