Help to live life to the full
If you live in Essex, and require additional care, remaining in your own home, maintaining independence and living a fulfilling and happy life is possible providing you can access the right services.
Essex Cares offers a range of outreach support services in Essex to support people to retain or learn new skills so they can continue to remain living independently within their own home.
Essex Cares was set up by Essex County Council in 2009, to provide services for people requiring care, support and assistance living in the community. It employs nearly 1,000 staff and provides support to about 100,000 people each year. Its services include home and day care, an equipment service, and helping to improve employment and inclusion for learning disabled adults.
It has a team of highly skilled and trained workers providing outreach support services in South Essex and beyond.
These services are especially designed to help clients begin to enjoy life again with the reassurance and comfort that someone will always be there to support them.
Outreach support services in North East Essex and throughout the county provide clients with a bespoke one to one support programme, based upon individual goals.
Clients can choose the types of support they require and agree with their support worker how they are going to achieve their aspirations.
The prices for sessions vary depending on the level of support required for each individual and last for a minimum of two hours.
This special one to one support costs £30 + VAT for a two hour session. A session is especially designed to promote independent living and can include anything from support with housing issues, attending appointments, shopping, emotional support as well as interests and activities.
For clients who need more intensive support due to factors such as challenging behaviour or severe mental health problems the cost is £60 + VAT for a two hour session. Two members of staff from outreach support services attend these sessions.
It is important to remember, however, that the outreach service in Essex offered by Essex Cares, does not offer domiciliary support and is not a home help service.
There are discounts available for block bookings, and for more information about outreach support services in South West Essex and other areas in Essex please log on to: www.essexcares.org, or email: communitybasedservices@essexcares.org
