How to Build a Bow-Tie TV Antenna
- 1). Measure and mark the board with screw marks. Each set of marks are 1 inch apart at the center of the board. Make four sets of marks, 5 1/4 inches apart, beginning 2 inches from one end of the board.
- 2). Cut the wire into eight 14-inch sections.
- 3). Bend each section of wire in the center to form a "V" with a 3-inch gap at the top.
- 4). Cut two 2-feet sections from remaining wire. These are the connecting wires.
- 5). Attach a screw and washer at each marked place on the board. Use a drill first if you prefer.
- 6). Attach one "V" section of wire under the screws and washers.
- 7). Attach two sections of connecting wire. Connect the first wire to one end screw, then around the middle screws on the opposite side of the wood, then back to the original side and attach it to the other end screw. Attach the second connecting wire to mirror the first. Cut off any excess wire.
- 8). Tighten the screws and washers.
- 9). Attach the reflector pieces to the back of the board with screws if desired.
