The laser penetrates the skin and stimulates blood flow in addition to tightening the skin. There are several types of lasers, but most doctors prefer using a Pixel laser because this laser is gentle, resulting in less downtime for the patient.

The lights kill bacteria, which is beneficial for acne treatment, but red light also stimulates skin cells to regenerate, which boosts collagen production. Full potency formulas are available by prescription, but you can find low dose retinoid products over the counter at your local grocery store. These products contain concentrated amounts of vitamin A. You can rub these serums and lotions directly on wrinkles or wrinkle-prone areas, such as smile lines, the forehead and under your eyes. Some people are sensitive to retin-A products. Talk to your doctor if you experience excessive drying or a rash after using retinoids.

After a peel a person will notice layers of skin peeling off their face over the next week. This treatment helps diminish wrinkles and age spots.
