How to Wire Money to a Person in a Casino
- 1). Telephone the casino and ask if they accept wire transfers directly to someone in their casino. Find the main casino telephone number in the yellow pages phone book from the city where the casino is. Dial "411" (directory assistance) on your phone and provide the operator with the name of the casino and the city and state in which the casino exists. Or you could search for the casino's website on an Internet search engine and click on "Contact Us" on the casino website. Call the casino and ask to speak to someone in the cashier's office. Ask the cashier's office representative whether they have the means to accept wire transfers on behalf of someone at the casino through Western Union.
- 2). Call the casino and determine the best way to wire the money. If you can wire directly to the casino on behalf of the person through Western Union, ask him for his casino player's club card and Social Security number. If the casino does not allow wire transfers directly to players, ask the person for the name of a bank he does business with and his bank account routing and account numbers.
- 3). Go to Western Union's link in the Resources section to wire money to the casino on the person's behalf. Set up a Western Union account by providing information about yourself like your name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth and Social Security number. Provide your credit card number to Western Union, the name of the person to whom you are wiring money, the state the casino is in and the amount you wish to wire. In the Notes section of the form, list the recipient's and their player's club card number (in case it is needed to identify him at the casino).
Keep in mind that there is likely a fee that will also be charged to your credit card by the wiring service to process your wire transfer. Click "Submit," and you will be given a confirmation number. Write down that number, call the person in the casino and give that confirmation number to him. He may need it to claim the money through the casino. - 4). Visit your bank's website and log in to view your account information to wire money to a person in a casino using your bank's wire transfer service. Enter your user name and password to access your account information. Click "Wire Transfer or Other Services" to access the section that allows you to wire money using your online account. Click "To Another Bank Customer," if the person to whom you are wiring money has an account with your same bank. Click "To A Customer At Another Bank," if the person to whom you are wiring money has an account with a different bank. Fill out the form, providing the name, address, phone number and account number and bank routing numbers of the person to whom you are wiring money. Type the amount of money that you want to wire to the person. Click "Transfer," and the money will be wired to him. Allow a few minutes for the transfer to complete. Click "Transactions" on your online account and look to see if the wire transfer has cleared.
- 5). Talk to the person at the casino again by phoning him and telling him that you have wired him money. Give him the amount you wired him and tell him whether you wired it to him through Western Union through the casino or whether he can find the money in his bank account. Tell him he can pick up the Western Union wired money by visiting the cashier's cage at the casino and providing them with the confirmation number, his player's club card and his state-issued photo ID. Tell him he can access the wired money through his bank account by using his debit card at an ATM machine at the casino or through the cashier's cage by providing them with a blank check, his player's club card and his state-issued photo ID.
