Internet money making sites are one of the big traps in the internet if you are not carefully approaching it.
You may lose money if you are not acting intelligently.
There are lots of scams in the area of internet money making.
Most of them promise you a lot of money without any work or with a little work.
They told that they are running quick rich programs and you will become rich within few days.
In one way they are right, they will become rich by grabbing money from your pocket and you will never be rich.
The fact is that there is no way to gain money without some work.
It's a hardcore fact.
There are different types of scams/cheating such as offering huge amount of money or gifts for reading e-mails, large income for data entry or editing work etc etc...
the list is go on.
In a nutshell my advice is that don't pay money to join for any of the program.
Try to use free programs.
Any way, if you are planning to pay for a program or if you are planning to join a free program, please try to study the program carefully.

Just type the site address along with the word "scam" or "fraud" (without quotes) in the Google search bar.
You will get lot of reviews, information's from the already experienced people.

Check for any forum associated with the site.
If a site is not a scam and paying they may provide a way for communication among their users.
Because they have nothing to hide.

Check for any "Contact us" provision.
If a site is legit, most probably it has a functional way to communicate to their owners or staff.
It may be either using a Telephone or e-mail, live chat etc...
If you are not seeing any of this kind contact method, most probably the site may be a scam because they have something to hide from you or they don't have a clear answer for your doubt about them.

Always check for payment proof.
If a site is a legit one, you will get lot of payment proofs from the existing members.

Check their minimum cash out, and waiting time for cash out.
If a site is providing only a few dollars and their minimum cash out is some hundred or thousand dollars..

Missing links and crashed pages in a site are valuable clue.
It may be a sign of death.
The site owner may be going to abandon the site or it may be a poorly hosted site due to the lack of proper financial support.
