Performing a Normal Reset

• 1). Grab your stylus to perform the reset. If you don't have your stylus, find a similar-sized object, such as a pen to use to press the "Reset" button.
  
  
• 2). Examine the bottom-left side of the iPaq Hx4700. Look for a small button. This is the "Reset" button.
  
  
• 3). Press the tip of the stylus to the button. Release the button. Your iPaq begins to reset.
  
  

Performing a Full Reset

• 1). Push and hold the "Calendar" and "iTask" buttons on your iPaq's control panel. These are the bottom buttons on each side of the control panel.
  
  
• 2). Continue holding the two buttons and then push the stylus against the iPaq's "Reset" button, which is located on the bottom-left side of the device. Hold in the "Reset" button for about two seconds while continuing to hold the other buttons.
  
  
• 3). Release the "Calendar" and "iTask" buttons as soon as the screen starts to fade out, and then remove the stylus from the "Reset" button. The iPaq now begins the full-reset process.
