What"s The Secret To Growing Your Home-Based Business?

I'm going to let you in on a little known secret that the leaders in your network marketing company probably don't want you to know. Here it is - Don't make a list of your friends and family. It's a big waste of time. Not everyone will want your product or service.

I know what you are thinking. When you looked at the MLM Company you chose to join, you had no intention of selling the product or service to everyone. You were told that you would only have to find 2 or 3 people who would find 2 or 3 people and you would be making a residual income.

So, you were asked to make a list of your warm market a list of all of your friends and family. Surely you know at least 2 people who would want to join you in a home-based business venture and make some money from home. I mean, who wouldn't want to work from home and the products are great too.

There is only one problem with trying to recruit 2 business builders from a list of your friends and family. Most people don't want to own their own business and not everyone will want to use your product or service either. You may be able to get some pity purchases. After all they are your friends and family and they love you enough to want to help you out.

Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying that you can't tell your friends and family what you are doing or selling but don't push and prod or you may end up in the "no friends left" club. Talk about your network marketing product or service just like you would if you found a great new restaurant or a great book.

When you do tell your warm market about your amazing new work at home business and the great products or services that you now offer, don't expect everyone will want to join your mlm company. The majority of people that have a job actually like working for someone else. There is a lot less stress when you work for someone else than there is when you own your own business.

Another thing you should do when you are looking to ad people into your downline is to look at what kind of job experience they have. I know that just about every network marketing company out there will tell you that you don't have to have to have any experience or be in sales in order to grow a business. But if the money is actually in selling the product or service, then doesn't it make sense to have some sales and marketing experience?
