- 1). Click "Start" and then "Control Panel."
- 2). Double-click "Add or Remove Programs."
- 3). Find "Microsoft Works 8" in the list of programs presented on the screen.
- 4). Click on "Microsoft Works 8" and then click "Remove."
- 5). Click the "Start" button and then click "Run." Type "Regedit" in the empty field and click "OK" to remove all associated registry keys with Microsoft Works 8.
- 6). Locate the registry keys "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft" and "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft." Right-click Works and then click "Delete." Click "Yes" when you receive the confirmation message.
- 7). Close Registry Editor and start Windows Explorer. Click on "Program Files," "Common Files" and then "Microsoft Shared Folder."
- 8). Right-click "Works Shared" and click "Delete." Click "Yes" when you receive the confirmation message.
