How to Upgrade AVG Internet Security 8.0 to 8.5
- 1). Visit the AVG website listed below. You will see the latest versions of their software on their homepage. In the bottom right corner will be a Section listed as "Renew and Upgrade."
- 2). Click on the link "Renew Your AVG Protection." It is listed under the section "Renew and Upgrade." This will take you to the appropriate page for upgrading.
- 3). Enter your license number from your existing version in the box on the left side of the screen. Once you have the number entered, click on the link beneath it that reads "Renew or Upgrade my AVG."
- 4). Enter or review your financial information. AVG Internet Security is commercial software but if you are upgrading from a previous version, you receive a discount. Decide if you want the one- or two-year subscription. Once you have agreed to the fees and entered your credit card information, click on the "Next" icon on the bottom right side of the screen.
- 5). Click "OK" to start the download to your computer when the prompt comes up. When you install and run the program once it is on your hard drive, it will upgrade your version and get it current.
