Hobe Sound is an unincorporated community along the Atlantic Coast in southeastern Florida, approximately 90 minutes north of Miami. Mobile home parks are common in Florida because of the number of tourist who visit the state, as well as the large number of retirees who flock there to set up permanent residence. Many retirees also come to Florida to escape the cold during the winter months. - The Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound has two family campgrounds for mobile homes. The Pine Grove Campground includes 90 sites, while the River Campground contains 45. Both campgrounds provide access to restrooms with showers and all sites are equipped with electric and water hookups, picnic tables and grills. Each campground also has a dump station for RVs. Nearby attractions include boating and fishing opportunities afforded by the Loxahatchee River, which winds through the park and is Florida's first federally designated "wild and scenic" river. The park also offers hiking, off-road biking and equestrian trails as well as a visitor's center and nature programs for children and families. Boat tours of the river and boat rentals are available as well. The park features a store that sells a limited selection of groceries.

All of the sites have water, sewer and electrical hookups of either 30- or 50-amp electric connections. The sites are available on a nightly, weekly or monthly basis. The resort is within walking distance of a beach on the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a fishing pier. Amenities on the property include a heated pool, spa, clubhouse, and shuffleboard and volleyball courts. The clubhouse has laundry facilities, a meeting rooms, a full kitchen and pool tables. The park also conducts various events such as poker and bingo games, barbecues, line dancing and water aerobics sessions.

The park has full hookups, RV sites and also 39-foot deluxe mobile homes available for rent. The sites come with concrete patios, Wi-Fi service, picnic tables, phone hookups and either 30- or 50-amp electrical connections. Located on the resort, which offers planned activities and has a security gate, are a heated pool, laundry facilities, showers and restrooms, a playground, a convenience store, shuffleboard and basketball courts, and a horseshoe pit. The park allows pets.
