Routes

• According to fileinfo.com, the TomTom saves travel routes and points of interest as an ASCII text file. This is tacked onto the .itn file as an .ascii extension.
  
  

Function

• Fileinfo.com says that the TomTom will mark locations as either destination points or locations to pass by after the traveler has entered his final destination and stopping points. It also flags different spots as visited or not visited.
  
  

Using the FIle

• According to filesuffix.com, there are separate platforms on which you can save the .itf file. In addition to a regular TomTom console, the .itf file can be stored on a Pocket PC or Windows mobile phone.
