- 1). Check for loose cable wires. If your cable wires aren't tightened properly, it may result in a poor quality cable signal and fuzzy picture.
- 2). Replace damaged cable wires and fittings. Eliminate any excess cable wires, which could lead to poor digital TV reception or signal loss. For every foot of cable wire there is a small loss in signal quality.
- 3). Replace inferior cable wire. If you're using poor quality cable wire, the chances of receiving good reception are significantly less. If you're using copper-clad cable wire, switch to solid copper. Discontinue using RG59 cable wire and switch to high-quality RG6 coaxial cable wire. This should dramatically improve your digital TV reception.
- 4). Eliminate the use of splitters. If you're using a splitter to run cable to more than one TV, it will weaken the cable signal. Stop using the splitter and you should see improved reception.
