How to Use Alcohol to Disinfect
- 1). Mix three parts water to at least seven parts rubbing alcohol. Use a 70- to 99-percent alcohol dilution, depending on desired strength.

Fill a spray bottle with alcohol mixture. - 3). Spray mixture on counter tops, sinks, shower surfaces, toilets and kitchen appliances, and wipe off with a damp cloth.
- 4). Spray onto carpets and upholstery and let air dry.
- 1). Fill bucket with diluted alcohol, from 70- to 99-percent alcohol.
- 2). Submerge mop into bucket and wring out slightly.

Mop tile, vinyl, linoleum or laminate flooring. - 4). Rinse and repeat until the entire area is clean.
- 5). Allow to dry.
- 1). Moisten cotton ball with rubbing alcohol.
- 2). Rub on skin at injection site.
- 3). Allow to dry a few seconds before administering shot.
