Tuner Operating Instructions for a MFJ 989C Antenna
- 1). Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the "Transmitter" port on the back of the tuner. Connect the other end of the cable to an amplifier or transmitter.

- 3). Plug the power cable for the tuner into a wall outlet or a power strip.
- 4). Press the "Power" button to turn on the tuner.
- 1). Turn the "Antenna Selector" knob to "Antenna 1" and set the control knob for the antenna and transmitter to "4."
- 2). Set the position of the "Inductor" knob to the lowest setting. Turn the knob counterclockwise or to the left to increase the inductance of the tuner.
- 3). Place the "Power" switch to the "LO" or "AVG." This will transmit a low power signal between 10 to 50 watts.
- 4). Turn the control knob for the "Antenna" and "Transmitter" to the minimum setting.
- 5). Power on the transmitter or amplifier and tune them to the recommended settings.
