Park Inn By Radisson Muscat Named As "leading Hotel In Responsible Business"

The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has named the Park Inn by Radisson Muscat as the "Leading Hotel in Responsible Business".
The hotel, which is a popular choice for business trips and Oman holidays, was honoured with the award for its environmental efforts and responsible activities.

The General Manager of the Oman hotel, Mr Rabih Zein, accepted the award from the President and CEO of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Mr Kurt Ritter.

Mr Zein said: "The cooperation of staff and guests are the main reasons we achieved this kind of appreciation."

The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, owners of the Park Inn by Radisson brand, launched its first environmental policy in 1989 and since then, sustainable development has been an important factor in its hotels and resorts all over the world.

Park Inn by Radisson Muscat continuously reduced its energy consumption in 2009 and 2010 and the hotel is engaged in responsible activities including Earth Hour, beach clean-ups, and blood donation, and tourists taking Oman holidays at the property are encouraged to do their bit for the environment and the community during their stay.

The Muscat Hotel is also involved in the Box Appeal, formerly known as the Shoe Box Appeal, which helps to provide labourers across the UAE with everyday essentials such as toothpaste, t-shirts, caps and shaving cream.

The campaign has been incorporated into Radisson Blu and Park Inn Hotels across the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Egypt and Bahrain.

The Park Inn by Radisson Muscat was the first Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group to become Green Globe certified and the hotels Green Globe logo is widely recognised by travellers who are searching for eco-friendly holidays to Oman.
