How to Remove a Blemish in iPhoto
- 1). Launch iPhoto by clicking its icon on the dock. Alternatively, click "Go" from the Finder, scroll down to "Applications" and navigate to iPhoto in the folder. Double-click to open.
- 2). Click on "Events" in the Library pane on the left. Navigate to the photo you wish to retouch. Click the photo to open it.
- 3). Click the "Edit" pencil icon to open the Quick Fixes window. Click "Retouch" in the panel to the right of the photo. The blemish removal tool automatically opens.
- 4). Match the tool to the size of the blemish you want to edit. Drag the slider to the right to increase the size of the tool. Drag the slider to the left to decrease the size of the tool.
- 5). Click or drag your mouse over the blemish to remove it. The tool intuitively blends the blemish into the background color that surrounds the area. Alternatively, clone or sample an area of unblemished skin tone by holding down the "Option" key while selecting it. Place your mouse over the blemish to cover that area with the sample you've selected.
- 6). Click "Done" to save your changes.
