How to Upgrade the Storage on an Xbox 360 Arcade
- 1). Obtain an Xbox 360 hard drive. New drives can be purchased from Microsoft's Xbox website. Used drives can be found on Amazon and eBay (see Resources).
- 2). Turn off and unplug your Xbox 360 console.
- 3). Remove the hard drive cover at the top of the system.
- 4). Place your new hard drive in the space on top of the console. Let the back of the drive come down first and slide it toward the back of the system, then press down on the top of the drive near the front. You should hear a click.
- 5). Turn on your Xbox 360 console and navigate to the settings menu. Make sure your new hard drive shows up correctly.
