How to Make a Waterfall Out of Small Rocks

- 1). Place a waterfall liner from a flat area slightly above your pond into the pond.
- 2). Place a small weir---or spillway---on the level surface above the pond so that it channels the water down a slope into the pond.
- 3). Place small rocks on top of and around the weir so that they hide the source of the flow. Try to create a little cave from which the water may flow.
- 4). Place small rocks beneath the weir on top of the liner. Arrange the rocks so that they hide the liner and spill the water artfully into the pond.
- 5). Connect the pump and filter from the pond into the weir. Turn the pump on to test the waterfall. If the water does not cascade in the right direction, angle the weir and the rocks toward the pond to direct the flow of water.
- 6). Hide the visible parts of the pump. Scatter small, colorful rocks around the pumphouse and any other visible part to obscure the tube running from the water.
