How do I Take Apart the Hayward Sp710 Valve Handle?
- 1). Turn off the filter and pump powering the pool. This will stop water from flowing through the plumbing. Unscrew the screws around the top edge of the Hayward Sp710 valve body. Pull up on the valve handle to pull the valve assembly out of the body.
- 2). Set the valve assembly down on a flat surface. Apply firm downward force to the valve handle by hand to expose the valve handle's pin. The handle pin holds the valve to the diverter inside the valve, allowing the handle to rotate the diverter to change the valve settings.
- 3). Tap the holding pin located on the handle base with a screwdriver. Tap the pin until it comes free of the valve handle. Pull the handle away from the rest of the valve. Remove any clips or springs inside the handle.
