How to Switch to Google DNS
Instructions
1Click "Start" and click "Control Panel."
2
Click "View Network Status and Tasks" under "Network and Internet" in the Control Panel window.
3
Click the "Change Adapter Settings" link at the left side of the Network and Sharing Center window.
4
Right-click the "Local Area Connection" adapter to modify your wired connection or right-click the "Wireless Network Connection" adapter to modify your wireless connection and click "Properties." If you want to switch to Google Public DNS for both wired and wireless connections, you'll have to change the settings on the second adapter after.

6
Click the "Use the Following DNS Server Addresses" option in the properties window that appears. Write down any addresses that are already filled in the "Preferred DNS Server" and "Alternate DNS Server" boxes, in case you need them later.
7
Type "8.8.8.8" into the "Preferred DNS Server" box and type "8.8.4.4" into the "Alternate DNS Server" box.
8
Click "OK" and click "Close."
9
Right-click the connection you modified and click "Disable," then right-click it again and click "Enable."
