    • The Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park offers a variety of recreational activities. The one-mile-plus trail winds through the park and offers individuals a chance to take pictures and view wildlife. It's one of 20 trails in the county designated as a birding trail as well. The Visitor Center includes information about the history of the Homosassa Springs area from the early 1900s and has life-size models of a crocodile and alligator.

    Captain Mike's Sunshine River Tours

    • Residents and tourists in the Homosassa Springs area have an opportunity to swim with manatees in the Crystal River. Captain Mike's Sunshine River Tours can seat up to 15 people and everyone is fitted with a wetsuit, snorkel, mask and fins. The tour lasts for three hours, and guests are able to interact with manatees. Manatees can reach up to 2,000 lbs., but are very gentle mammals and like to be played with.

    • Located less then eight miles from Homosassa Springs, Manatee Lanes is a family fun center that offers bowling, billiards, air hockey and shuffleboard. The venue also provides food and beverage options at the Hot Shotz Sports Bar, where patrons can watch their favorite teams play on their multiple televisions. While open bowling is available during the week, Manatee Lanes also has party packages for birthdays, corporate events or family get-togethers.
