Features of the Pioneer AVIC-D3
- Pioneer equips the AVIC-D3 with a 6.1-inch touch panel screen with an anti-glare coating and 336,960 total pixels. The display features 12 pre-loaded interchangeable background pictures and the ability to upload customized JPEG pictures via the AVIC-D3's integrated DVD drive. Additional display features include dimmer control, contrast adjustment, color adjustment and hue adjustment. To the left of the display is the control panel. The control panel features eject, menu, map, forward and reverse buttons, as well as a multifunction control dial and a 3.5-mm audio output jack.
- The AVIC-D3 uses a built-in DVD with Memory Nav navigation system paired with an included eight-channel GPS receiver and antenna. It comes with maps for the continental United States, Canada, Hawaii and Alaska stored on DVD-ROM media. The AVIC-D3 supports up to 12 million points of interest (POIs), up to 271 POI database categories, POI brand icons and categories. It also has on-screen POI shortcut keys. The AVIC-D3 comes with lane information for 50 U.S. cities. Customizable navigation features include vehicle dynamics skins and seven vehicle dynamics display gauge selections, including Slope, Acceleration, Direction, Clock, Voltage, Side Acceleration and Angular Velocity.
- The AVIC-D3's built-in DVD player plays back video media stored on standard DVD, DVD-R and DVD-RW discs. It also plays audio files stored on standard CDs, CD-R and CD-RW discs. The AVIC-D3 features built-in compatibility with MP3, Windows Media Audio, iTunes AAC and DivX files. The device's integrated AM/FM tuner has 24 station presets accessible via six buttons. It also has "Best Stations Memory" and a selectable four-step local station setting.
- The AVIC-D3 features 50 watts of MOSFET speaker power with four channel outputs. The device has a three-band EEQ equalizer, tri-mode loudness controls, high-pass and subwoofer crossovers. Pioneer also equipped the AVIC-D3 with Bluetooth functionality, iPod control capability and XM and Sirius satellite radio connectivity. Available inputs on the device include a front-facing auxiliary input, composite A/V input, backup camera input, rear-view camera input and a composite A/V output.
