- 1). Open the image file in Windows Live Photo Gallery. Right click the image file and select “Open with” and then select “Windows Live Photo Gallery.”
- 2). Click the “Crop” drop-down menu under the “Adjustments” category. Select “Proportion” and then select “4 x 3” to maintain this aspect ratio of the image. A frame will appear on the selected image. Click the frame and drag it to adjust its position. Click the edge of the frame and adjust the size of the frame.
- 3). Click the “Crop” drop-down menu again and click “Apply Crop” to finalize your selection. The image will be cropped to maintain the 4:3 aspect ratio.
- 4). Open the edited image in Windows Movie Maker. It will now fit the entire screen.
