Cardinals Tickets Along With Cardinal Facts
If you've been a supporter of the Arizona Cardinals since the early days you should be very familiar with the extensive history this team celebrates. The number of years that these guys have been members of the National Football League have not only resulted in a lot of Cardinals tickets sales to loyal fans wanting to see them play, but a lot of good stories as well. A Cardinal ticket is a big deal from where I am from. Give me a Cardinals ticket and I am one happy camper. As I have gone to my fair share of games you can imagine all the stories I've heard or read about regarding the team. These are just a few of my favorites!
1. The Arizona Cardinals hold the honor of being theoldest continuous professional football team in all of the United States. The Cardinals been relocated to different parts of the United States many times, and along with that have had many different names. Familiarize yourself with these names because they were, at one point or another, still Cardinal's names: Morgan Athletic Club, Racine Normals, Racine Cardinals, Chicago Cardinals, St. Louis Cardinals, Phoenix Cardinals and presently, the Arizona Cardinals. Official Cardinal tickets were sold at the start of the 1940s.
2. Don Coryell was the Cardinals coach that is still known as one of the best coaches that has ever worked with the Arizona Cardinals. He is sgiven credit for bringing the team great publicity as he was the first coach to ever win 100 games at both the college and the pro football level. Don managed to achieve the many wins, making it look easy. This man is a great example of the talent and skill working in everyone who is a part of the Cardinals team.
3. In 2006, a few members of the Cardinals thought to establish an elite group names the Ring of Honor. The then members came up with a a list of deserving men that were to be part of this prestigious circle. Members of that first group included Charles Bidwell, Jimmy Conzelman, John "Paddy" Driscoll, Marshall Goldberg, Dick "Night Train" Lane, Ernie Nevers, Charley Trippi and Ollie Matson. After everything was settled, the chosen ones were officially inducted as the initial members of the Ring of Honor.
4. The Cardinals not only have footballers play for their team, they have had some other Olympians too such as Ollie Marson. He is one of the celebrated individuals as he took home 2 bronze medals at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics for 400m and the 4x400 relay run events. Marson won the medals after graduating from the University of San Francisco and before he even played his first season for the Chicago Cardinals.
5. The Cardinals can trace their history all the way back to the year 1898. It all started when Chris O'Brien formed the Morgan Athletic Club. Their first uniforms were used jerseys from the University of Chicago which were described as a "Cardinal Red". This was where the team name came from.
