About Warren Kole:

Fairly new to the acting biz, Kole has appeared in guest starring roles in series such as 24 and the short-lived 2011 crime drama The Chicago Code. His role in Common Law marks his first bonafide starring role in a drama series.

About Sonya Walger:

Many viewers will likely recognize Walger for her portrayal of Penny Widmore from ABC's Lost. This talented British actor has appeared in a number of US-based television dramas over the last decade: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Tell Me You Love Me, In Treatment and CSI: New York. Walger also starred in ABC's sci-fi drama Flashforward.

Trivia:
  • Sonya Walger and Michael Ealy both appeared in Flashforward and Sleeper Cell.
  • The series is filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana.
  • Former Angel star Amy Acker was originally cast to play Dr. Ryan.

About the Characters:

Travis: Being raised in the foster care system, the free-spirited detective was forced to grow up very quickly and develop keen street smarts, which is what helps him get the job done. His fear of commitment is prevalent as he seems to go through woman like water (he has slept with many of the women in his own precinct). Travis got his name from the fireman who found him - after a Cabbage Patch doll.

Wes: The polar opposite of his easy-going partner, Wes is an obsessive, borderline OCD perfectionist. Before joining the police department, Wes was a successful lawyer with a beautiful wife. After being personally affected by the outcome of a case, Wes decided to give up practicing law and dove headfirst into the police force, quickly climbing his way up the ranks. After he joined the force, his wife asked for a divorce. He is clearly still very much in love with his wife, which prevents him from moving on in his personal life.

Dr. Emma Ryan: While not much is known about Emma's personal life, what we do know is that until she began her couples therapy group, she catered mostly to pampered Beverly Hills clients looking for pills to help solve their problems.

Captain Mike Sutton: The sensitive police captain who decides to put Travis and Wes into couples therapy rather than kick them off the force. Having successfully completed couples counseling with his wife, Sutton firmly belives that therapy can go a long way to mend a broken relationship - but will his two detectives make it through therapy without killing each other?
