How To Use Autoresponders For Previews

You can generate interest in your next product by emailing your list about it and giving a preview of what it'll be like. Be sure you have everything set up before you start.

1 Preview. If you've written an ebook, once you've told your list and others about your product, email them the first chapter as a whole or in parts. You can also offer it for sign ups to your list. This is the same principle as previews for movies and TV programs. It gives the reader a taster of what the whole product will be like.

2 Reminders. Once they have the preview and have had time to go through it, including if it's in parts, keep sending reminders of when the ebook will be available. You can send reminders about once a week or every few days about what's in it and the date it'll be available. Have these emails set up in your autoresponder on a list specifically for this product. Also, check that they're timed correctly and that they build up knowledge about the ebook and topic while giving teaser information about its contents and usefulness.

3 Pre-release. When you've sent the reminders, a couple of days before the release date offer your list a pre-release copy at a reduced price. This discount should provide some sales and before you've even published it. You might offer it at half price or reduce the price and offer extra bonuses of related products.

4 Check subscribers. See how many are still on your list who originally signed up to get the preview chapter. These are the people who have waited and so shown an interest in it, enough interest to buy it. They will be waiting to hear from you about when they can buy it. This also means they will be interested in future products of yours.
