It is Time to Quit Being a Baby Chewing on Mashed Carrots and Time to Grow Up and Order a Steak

How pleasant would it be to have your food at each meal placed in a blender, pureed, poured into a cup and placed before us for our enjoyment? Barf! But is not that how much of our teaching and preaching is today? The fullness of the prime cut of an eternal God, instead of being grilled up and served with a huge steak knife and a sturdy fork, is placed in a blender by the pastor and ground down to a paste that is easy to swallow.
We are so used to getting force fed facts that are pre-chewed for us that we no longer have the teeth it takes to chew on some of the meatier issues of life let alone have the stomach juices needed to digest it into our systems so that our entire body benefits.
Be brave and dig into the goodness of God on your own, savoring the rich texture of His word and the sweet smell of His presence, as well as the anointing juices that are sure to flow when you partake fully of Him.
Teachers, preachers, pastors, apostles, and prophets all have a necessary function within the body of Christ but they are not meant to give us access to God (that is why Jesus is known as the Christ).
These functions placed in the body have a definite role within the workings of the church and in the development of our spiritual lives yet they are often temporary or part-time functions that are meant to point us to our Heavenly Father.
Have you been a Christian for many years?By now we ought to be teachers and disciplers.
By now we ought to be strengthened and able to assist others.
By now we ought to be regular financial contributors and consistently functioning in our spiritual gifts.
By now we ought to be meat eaters.
