How to Download Games to the iPad

    • 1). Tap the "App Store" icon on your iPad's home screen. By default, the App Store will load the "New" tab on the "Featured" screen, which displays the newest applications that have been added to the store. Tap "What's Hot" to find the most popular applications instead of the newest ones.

    • 2). Tap "Categories," the second option in the navigational bar. This displays the different categories of applications you can browse, including "Games." The Games category is the only one to feature subcategories: Action, Adventure, Arcade, Board, Card, Casino, Dice, Educational, Family, Kids, Music, Puzzle, Racing, Role Playing, Simulation, Sports, Strategy, Trivia and Word.

    • 3). Tap one of the subcategories to see all the games in that subcategory. By default, the subcategory will sort the games by most popular paid applications, but you can choose to sort them by most popular free applications or by release date, with the newest applications listed first.

    • 4). Tap "Top 25," the third option in the navigational bar. This displays the 25 most popular paid applications of all categories for the week by default, but you can choose to sort them by most popular free applications for the week or the most popular paid applications overall.

    • 5). Tap "Search," the fourth option in the navigational bar. Here, you can search for the name of a specific game if you have one in mind. Tap the game you are interested in to open its App Store page.

    • 6). Tap "Free," if the game is free, or "$x," where "x" is the cost of the application. Tap "Install" and type in your Apple ID password to confirm your purchase. The game will automatically download to your iPad.
