Chiropractors - Generate Buzz and Increase Referrals
A common method to grow a chiropractic clinic is by utilizing an internal referral program.
The concept is simple, by asking your happy patients to let friends and family know about your clinic they will, in turn, become patients at some point.
Word of mouth can spread quickly growing you practice overtime.
This same strategy can be used inside industrial facilities.
While you may or may not realize it employees spend so much time together they are often referred to as a family.
Sometimes working towards common goals, sometimes arguing and sometimes completely dysfunctional but a family none-the-less.
If a large local manufacturer has several hundred employees they can quickly become a community within your community and one that is worth marketing to.
However, if you want to generate a large number of referrals you need a strategy that has managements support.
If done incorrectly, you can put a lot of effort into generating a small number of referrals.
Think back to high school when you sat at a specific lunch table or hung out with a certain crowd.
Your ability to influence was limited to those within your reach or lunch table.
This is no different, if not done correctly a 1000 employee facility can generate few referrals because it is being supported by only a few employees.
Facility management must support and promote you internally to generate the level of buzz needed.
To get that level of support you must provide solutions that make their job easier.
Common solutions are spinal screenings, health fairs, lunch and learns, facility tours, ergonomic assessments and others that I have written about in the past.
The key is understanding that you have to develop a strategy that keeps you in front of management and reminds them to promote you to employees.
The best way I know to do this is by offering several solutions spaced out over time.
I think many fall short by only doing health fairs or other annual events.
These once a year services make it difficult to keep your internal buzz and referrals up.
Keep in mind, the more solutions you provide the more management is interested in promoting you to their internal employees.
I often use the term the go to provider because that is what ends up happening when you build strong, solutions based relationships.
When they have a problem they think about you and look for a solution.
In turn, they talk about you positively to their employees and your referrals go way up.
