Ways to Disguise a Hidden Camera
- An air freshener is a potential disguise for small camera. An air freshener won't arouse any suspicion when it's placed in most rooms. The vents in the air freshener provide a location where the camera can film through.
- This is another location for a small camera should you decide you need or want to monitor the activities of a babysitter. Stuffed toys are a common sight in bedrooms of babies and infants. Select a toy that has a head and eye large enough to accommodate the camera. Position the camera lens where one of the stuffed toy's eye would be. Angle the camera so it will film the area you want monitored.
- Similar to the air freshener location, a potpourri dish is another item that won't draw suspicion if found in a room. When selecting a dish, use one with a ceramic stand where the candle would normally be placed. This stand has vents to allow air to circulate when a candle is lit. These vents allow you to view the scene you want to monitor with the small camera.
- Using a book has a hiding place requires more work than the other options, but is an effective hiding location. Cut out the outline of the camera in the pages of the book so the camera can be placed inside without the book bulging. Drill a hole into the spine of the book and position the lens into the opening. Place the book on the bookshelf.
