Lady Gaga"s Monster
As she sends her love to her 'little monsters' Lady Gaga begins her extravagant show full of dazzling costume changes (15 to be exact), four sets and comes complete with a full story about the singer losing her friends on the way to "The Ball".
"Dance in the Dark" kicked off the show with a high energy performance which is done against the first set which is basically the streets of New York.
She then in turn begins to tease the audience with an unreleased gem called "Glitter and Grease" only a few bars into it she stops very coy.
As the concert continues the end of act one comes as quickly as it began.
There is a long pause and Gaga returns in a subway carriage as a PVC-wrapped nun.
It is at that point she begins to sing "Love Game" we wondered if she realized how offensive this might be to some people.
Then as she sat down next to a beautiful piano she kicked into "Speechless" as the instrument burst into flames.
It would seem she might have some pyro issues.
Then as she is lifted into the third set of a forest she beings her next wave of dance pop tunes and dazzles the audience as she switches her outfit to something that looks like a lampshade.
Only would she be able to pull this one off.
One new tune "Forest" is performed during this third act.
This tune is exceptional and will likely appear on the forthcoming live set that is in the works for those who might have missed the spectacle of a show.
It will be interesting to see how it translates in the recording.
At this point the lights go out, and the singer goes back into hiding.
Menacing music begins to play and she returns with a huge animatronic octopus.
From here we are treated to one final new song "Monster's Ball" among her hits "Paparazzi" and "Bad Romance".
Overall Gaga performed 21 of her original songs, and gave a winning performance as she acted through the sets.
This is a true tour not to miss.
