Compared with the overall unemployment rate of 7.2 percent, the unemployment rate for young people ages 20 to 24 was 13.3 percent.To add to the recent grads frustrations, in the past 10 year the cost of public higher education has risen more than hundred percent. With rising tuition costs and cutbacks in financial aid, many students and families have balanced multiple jobs and taken out loans to reach the goal of a college diploma. The reality is that these higher tuition cost will impact the majority of college students far into their working lives.
