• If you're trying to get a good deal on a last-minute holiday, you must be flexible on multiple fronts. Be open to various travel dates and, more importantly, different travel destinations. Have several places you are willing to visit before booking your holiday. You also cannot be picky about which airline you fly with. • Many different websites specialize in last-minute vacation booking. Some simply catalogue the different offers from other websites like an aggregator, while others offer the holidays themselves. Also, check the airline websites, as they may run specials on last-minute vacations. Many travel blogs run weekly posts on last-minute travel, but again, these generally link to other sites that actually host the offer. Buy from somewhere reputable that you trust.
  
  

Consider Alternative Seasons

• Similar to being flexible with what days you depart and return, you may want to be flexible with which month you book. Booking during the holidays or school summer vacations is not very cheap. Instead, book in the middle of the school term if possible. Avoid busy holidays, and choose your destination carefully. You don't want to accidentally book a trip during another country's holidays when their airlines are busy, as this may drive prices up.
  
  

Be Flexible on Airport

• Similar to being flexible with your holiday destination, you may wish to land at an alternative airport in your destination country. For example; instead of taking the main airport in a country, look for a smaller regional airport. These are often cheaper, as smaller airports are in need of the business. It should be possible to find one nearby your first airport of choice, but if you cannot find a smaller airport, consider one slightly further away.
