Projector Screen Information

    Types

    • There are four main types of projector screens: manual pull-down projector screens; electric screens that use a motor to move the screen up and down; portable screens; and rear projector screens, where the image is projected from behind the screen to avoid silhouetting.

    Light

    • Projector screens are commonly affected by ambient light, reducing the quality of the image on the screen. In bright environments a higher gain, or more reflectivity, is required to keep the integrity of the projected image.

    Format

    • Projector screens are available in a variety of formats: 1:1 square format for overhead projectors; 4:3 video format; and 16:9 widescreen format.
