- 1). Click on the "Start" menu and select "All Programs." Point your cursor to "Microsoft Exchange Server." Select "System Manager." This will launch a new console.
- 2). Locate the information store folder that holds your Exchange account. Right-click on the folder and select "Dismount Store."
- 3). Click the "Start" menu and select "Run" to launch the Command prompt. Type "CMD" without any quotes and press the "Enter" key.
- 4). Type "eseutil /d database" without any quotes and press the "Enter" key. Replace the word "database" with the location of your database file. Typically, you will find it in the following location: "C:\program files\exchsrvr\database\exchange.edb."
Wait for the console to finish the defragmentation process.
