What Is the File Extension CVS?

    Source

    • Cavnas is the program that creates .cvs files. ACD Systems developed and distributes Canvas.

    Identification

    • A file with the .cvs file extension is known as a Canvas drawing.

    Function

    • A file with the .cvs file extension contains an image or graphic. The .cvs file extension serves as a marker to your computer, signaling that the file is accessible only with Canvas.

    Features

    • The image contained in a .cvs file are sometimes raster images, meaning it is made up of tiny dots called pixels. Other .cvs files contain vector images, which consist of geometric shapes and lines.

    Systems

    • Canvas and .cvs files operate on both Mac OS X and Windows-based computers.

    Considerations

    • Version 4 of Canvas was the last version that saved drawings with the .cvs file extension. Newer versions use the .cnv extension, but are also able to open .cvs files.
