Location and Tickets

• The Stockholm Jazz and Blues Festival has been held on the Swedish island of Skeppsholmen since 1980. Stockholm itself is comprised of small islands, and Skeppsholmen sits in the middle of greater Stockholm and is easily accessible by car and boat. Tickets for the three-day event sell at a variety of price levels to accommodate those interested in particular performers or who want the full festival experience.
  
  

Musical Styles

• What began as a jazz and blues festival now welcomes performers from across all musical lines. Hip-Hop artist Missy Elliott was a key performer in 2010. Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz were two of the jazz greats to perform in its first year.

• The Stockholm Jazz and Blues Festival takes place every year in the middle of June. Spanning only a long weekend with the help of the Scandinavian summer light the festival allows audiences to hear a variety of performances in a short but well organized weekend in the shadows of the Modern Art Museum. Additionally, restaurants are on-site which offer the best of Scandinavian and European cuisine. Many have special kids menus with healthy options. Adjacent to the restaurants and performance stages are activities for all ages including games.
