How Do I Create & Design Information on a Web Page?
- 1). Code your website by hand. This is by far the most challenging method of creating a web page. You will need to learn HTML and, if you want to integrate graphics, own a graphics editing program. See the "HTML Tutorial" from W3 Schools in the Resources section to learn HTML.
- 2). Use a tool provided by a web design and hosting service. A hosting company stores your web files and makes them accessible on the web. Some web hosting companies to consider are IpowerWeb, Vistaprint, and Lunarpages. Web hosting companies provide templates that allow you to create a website quickly and easily; you can literally have a site up in a few hours with their services. Companies usually charge a monthly fee for hosting, and those that provide templates typically cost more.
- 3). Create a blog if your goal is to post information online and not create a business presence attached to a particular URL. A blog provides a free and fast way to create and design information.
- 4). Use a design tool such as Dreamweaver Macromedia or Microsoft Visual Studio if you want a custom site. Both are professional web designer tools with robust features but they can come with a high price tag and a steep learning curve.
