How to Timestamp a Cell When Data Is Entered in MS Excel
- 1). Press "Ctrl" and press "F3" at the same time.
- 2). Enter a name for your function, such as "TimeStamp," in the text box.
- 3). Click "Refers To" in the text area and input this:
=TEXT(TODAY(),"d-mmmm-yyyy") & " " & TEXT(NOW(),"h:mm AM/PM"). - 4). Hit "Add" and "OK."
- 5). Enter "=TimeStamp" (without quotes) into any cell.
