The Hotels of Albufeira

I visited Portugal two years ago and really enjoyed what Albufeira had to offer.
It is only half an hour by car before you can enjoy the beautiful old town square, here despite Albufeira having one of the main tourist spots in the Algarve isn't a tourist location.
The central place of Albufeira has a huge selection of restaurants to choose from, with amazing steak houses, more local cuisine, pizza restaurants all selling amazing food.
You can enjoy watching the locals putting on shows in the middle of the square and drawing portraits for other tourists.
If you want to head to more local areas you have the old part of Albufeira where many of the locals live, so you can see how they live their life's, this streets will be full of people, often chatting to each other from their windows.
Albufeira is very popular each and every year with the town centre lighting up at night with an array of clubs for younger people and beautiful restaurants situated along the coast line offering fantastic views at day and night.
At night you can enjoy a nice gentle breeze as you walk along the promenade.
You can enjoy one of the many wines, a popular Portuguese drink as well as the liqueurs also made locally.
As a developed and popular tourist attraction there are many Albufeira hotels available.
These are mostly three star and four hotels although there are two five star hotels if this is for you, these are the Sheraton Algarve and Grande Real Santa Eulalia.
The hotel I stayed in was of good standard; room was clean and sported a roof pool and sunbathing lounges.
To find your Albufeira hotel I would suggest using a comparison site that will let you search the available hotels for the dates available, with many allowing you to read their own reviews and independent reviews so you can compile a picture of what to expect, the standard of the hotel.
I hope you find a comfortable and good value hotel room as well as enjoy the best of what Albufeira has to offer, the jeep tours are highly recommended!
