New poll shows QWERTY phone input is most popular among users

Conversations by Nokia launched an investigation about the input method. We can see what kind of mobile phone users prefer to use method for text input. Options include numeric keypad, QWERTY phone, touch screen and voice commands of four.

Over the years, with the development of mobile phones we have used almost all options of several input methods, even now; maybe we can still support both mobile phones among several ways. Such as Nokia Asha 300, Asha 202 and Asha 203 are equipped with a touch screen at the same time equipped with a digital keypad.

Nevertheless, this site would still like to see the most popular user input, and now has finally unveiled the findings. QWERTY phone obviously won a landslide victory, almost got half the votes. The relatively surprising is touch screen only won 34.69 percent of the vote and not a little higher, after all, the touch screen has become the mainstream smart phones, and even some feature phones with touch screens have started it.

This result seems to reflect our understanding of the changes that occurred mobile phone use. Compared to typing, we are now more commonly used mobile web browsing, watching videos, pictures or browse social networking sites. We usually almost less than QWERTY phone, but we need to enter text when most people still want their phones can be equipped with a QWERTY phone. According to poll the user message view, users are undoubtedly the favorite QWERTY phone input accuracy; it is difficult to compare the virtual keyboard.

Of course, this finding may also occur under some changes in different countries. To Germany, Britain, Sweden and Finland as a whole survey showed that the majority of votes obtained QWERTY phone. In the smart phone penetration rate of 47% of the U.S., there are 47.22% chose the touch screen input. U.S. survey results can be seen in the chart above says exactly the opposite. Touch screen which accounted 47.22%, QWERTY phone, 33.33%, 12.5% voice commands, the numeric keypad is only 6.94%.

Although the smart phone market penetration is only 29%, but the Philippines is still the fastest growing smartphone market in Asia countries. The findings are consistent with previous chart shows.

Honestly, voice commands are not popular and not too surprising, but this situation in the next few years might be improved. As technology advances, we will one day be used to using language to tell a machine do it. But just as a user-written message at the polls, as perhaps the ultimate form of mobile phones is not us personally inputs, but "we think can automatically write everything."
