Schlosshotel Lerbach Hotel in Bergisch Gladbach, Deutschland - The Luxury Castle

Schlosshotel Lerbach is a wonderful three floor luxury castle hotel which is situated on the 28 hectares of area and is about 15 kilometrers from the Cologne, Germany.
The Lerbach is an excellent estate and has a rich history of nobles.
It was converted into sanitarium after World War II for the benefit of Belgian soldiers and was finally after requisite restoration and refurbishing, turned into a fine hotel in the early 1990s.
As you arrive driving to the hotel entrance, you'd have to leave the car for valet to safely park the vehicle.
As you move out of car, the bell service rushes to your car for taking charge of your luggage.
Then you enter the hotel lobby and as you announce your name, the hotel service hands you the key for the room.
The hotel staff is very polite and courteous and the hotel does not have any check in procedure whereby you will be immediately taken to your allocated room.
As you'd enter the room, the hotel boys would tell you the procedure to operate the room lights.
They also tell that mini bar in the room comes within room charges, so you can use it.
They also inform you of the availability of the laundry and shoe shine facilities.
You'd find loads of chocolates in the room.
The hotel room is decorated traditionally with a very colorful outlook.
The window of our room looks towards the garden with the restaurant situated exactly below our room window.
Room is not large but is equipped with the furnished arm chairs and includes a coffee table.
The room bedding was no doubt of superior quality.
The attached bathroom had a European touch with a huge sink with an attached mirror, one blow drier and a place for the toiletries.
The glass door at the bath was able to cover 1/3 area of the bath as a result of which some of the water spilled on bathroom floor from the bath area during my shower.
When you decide to stay at Lerbach, you'd easily get table at their Restaurant Dieter Muller which is located downstairs.
This is a beautiful place to eat and in 2004 it was one of the five German restaurants to have secured 3 Michelin Stars.
It was indeed great meeting Dieter Muller at the property at the night end, though he was not too good at English and we had to take the help of receptionist to translate.
The lobby area had the big couches of leather placed in opposite to the fire place and the area itself had dark and magnificent interiors of wood.
One of the doors from the lobby opened into the Restaurant Dieter Muller and through others you'd gain entry to the conference room.
As you move downstairs, you'd see another restaurant of the hotel and has a rooster theme and is equipped with the spa.
Breakfast was served at the other rooster themed restaurant, and while I opted for the continental buffet items, which included a very nice mix of fresh fruit, rolls, assorted meats, granola, cereal, etc.
, you could also order omelets and other items from the kitchen.
Breakfast was also included in the room price.
Unfortunately, rain prevented much outdoor activity on the extensive park like grounds of the property, but apparently they offer everything from spa treatments, horseback riding, to balloon rides.
We also were short on time and heading to the Brussels and the GP of Belgium.
For our one night stay with dinner at Dieter Muller, the place offered a wonderfully relaxing stay at a beautiful property with the exceptional service.
It's a small property, run like a luxury hotel, with pretty fair value given the extras and the setting.
