National Parks Are Cheaper Than Theme Parks
When it comes to family vacations, it can always be difficult to figure out where you and your family want to go.
You will have to be able to get most everyone to agree on the place and you have to figure out if you can afford it.
While you might be able to afford going to a place, you will have to figure out if you can afford the things you might not have thought of such as; food, lodging and getting there.
When most families are looking for vacation spots they will automatically think only of theme parks such as Disney Land/World or Cedar Point.
There are good reasons for them only thinking about these places, and it can mostly be attributed to the good advertising and marketing these places do.
While these places are fun, there are many other places that people often overlook.
Places that people often over look are National Parks.
There are many reasons that you would want to go to National Parks.
The first and foremost thing about going to a national park is that it will be cheaper for you.
Or at the very least you will be able to stretch your dollar further at these places.
For example, the most that you are going to pay is 20 dollars to get into the park and that is for a week! So you and your family will be able to stay there for a week, for only 20 dollars.
That is just unheard of at theme parks.
Most theme parks are going to run you anywhere from 40-60 dollars per day, per person.
So to take a family of four to a theme park for a weekend might end up costing you about 300 dollars, where as going to the park for 7 days is only going to cost you 20 bucks.
This will not even take into account the price for food that you are going to have to pay for.
The price for food at most theme parks are ridiculously expensive.
You will have no choice but to pay for it though, seeing as you are not allowed to bring in outside food or beverages into the theme park.
Where as when you visit a national park you will be able to bring your own food into the park.
This in itself is about as cheap as you can for food.
Even if you want to buy food at restaurants close by, chances are it will still be cheaper than the prices at the theme park.
An added benefit of bringing your food is that it will generally be healthier for you and your family also.
