Holiday by Motorhome - The Weird and Wonderful in the UK

These days most of us have experienced all the normal types of holidays by the time we are in our early twenties.
And for many of us they have started to lose their shine.
A week in Spain or a trip the peak district to sit in a cottage just does not seem as exciting after the first few times you have done it.
There is no need to be jaded though there are some fantastic weird and wonderful holidays available in the UK if you take a little time to look for them.
Hire a motorhome in Cheshire and get out on the road to check out these very different ways to relax.
1.
Archeology: Ever wanted to be Indiana Jones? Here is your chance, right here in the UK.
In Shropshire Archeology Live offers you the chance to assist experts digging at Old Furnace.
This site is famous because in 1709 Abraham Darby first smelted iron with coal right on this site.
The power behind the great bellows, a huge water wheel has never been found and this gives you an opportunity to be part of the historic search.
2.
Astronomy: If the ground is not your thing then maybe it is something more along the lines of astronomy you are after.
On your UK motorhome adventure you could take in a star gazing holiday in Northumberland.
Britain's latest star gazing facility, Kielder Observatory, a awesome woodland pier jutting out of the slopes of Black Fell, provides a window on England's inkiest sky.
And we all know that inky blackness is the best colour for true stargazing.
Get out of the city and see the night sky the way it really is.
3.
Polo: If you have ever wondered what all these blue blood types see in the game of polo, now is the time to find out.
In the lovely surroundings of the Cotswolds, polo pros will put you through your paces and soon have you doing your best Prince Charles impression in a real game.
Don't worry though, they start you off on a pretend horse before they let you near a real one swinging that stick.
4.
Whiskey: Some of you are probably thinking that you like the sound of a weird and wonderful UK motorhome adventure but all this activity is just not your thing; not to worry how about a holiday centered around whiskey? On the tranquil island of Islay, the Bruichladdich distillery produces some of Scotland's finest single malt using traditional techniques and they are willing to let you in on the secrets.
You will mill, mash, distill and bottle the whiskey.
Tasting a wee dram or two is almost certain to come into the itinerary of this holiday as well.
