How to Send a Picture Through Scanning
- 1). Turn on your desktop or laptop computer and flatbed scanner.
- 2). Locate the picture you want to send. Inspect the picture and use a soft dry cloth to clean it if the front of the picture is dirty.
- 3). Lift the lid of your flatbed scanner and place the photograph face-down on the scanner platen. Open the software for the scanner on your computer. Create a folder where the picture will be saved and set the scanning parameters to photograph. Press the "Start" button on the scanner or click the "Start" button in the software.
- 4). Review the picture in the preview window of the software. Make adjustments to the picture, if allowed, and save it to the folder as a JPEG image.
- 5). Open your email program and create a new email. Click "Add attachment" and locate the folder containing the newly scanned photograph. Click the file to highlight it and click "OK" in the window.
- 6). Add the email address of the person to whom you are sending the picture and click "Send" to send the email with your picture.
